InfoTrack Search Provider

When looking for basic information about the InfoTrack Search Provider.

How to run a InfoTrack Search:

To order a InfoTrack search from LawMaster you can go to either...

  1. Enquiries > Searches > Right Click > New InfoTrack Search.
  2. Matter > Searches > Right Click > New InfoTrack Search.

The only difference between the two is that when a user right clicks on a completed Search within the Enquiries – Searches grid and selects New Search from the context menu, the Matter number will be pre-populated based on the Matter Number the user right clicked on. This facilitates quicker searching for repeat searches. From the Matter Toolbar – Searches the Matter number is taken from the active Matter the screen is being access from.

After clicking on New InfoTrack Search it will open the InfoTrack website, where you can search for specific documents that you would like to search for.

You are able to search for many different documents from InfoTrack ranging from Property, Personal and Company Searches along with many others.

Each Search incurs a cost with InfoTrack per search unless it is specified as a free search, when the Search is completed the document that was searched and the cost is transferred from InfoTrack to LawMaster and is saved in the LawMaster Matter that you have selected or the Matter that you searched from. The Document will be added as a folio and the cost will be added into the Costs Tab on the Matter. LawMaster copies the data straight from InfoTrack and does not make any changes to the Cost or the Document.

The Matter Number against which the Searches will be allocated is displayed and used within the Search Provider Portal. Where LawMaster System Variables or Matter Attributes have been mapped to the Search Provider variables and contain a value, this data will be automatically inserted into the Search Provider input field.

NOTE: When a matter is closed the "New Search" facility will be greyed out, prohibiting users from conducting an Integrated Search on a closed matter.

When initiating a new Search from LawMaster, LawMaster checks for the existence of the Search Providers Username and Password on the logged in user:

  • If YES
    • Authentication credentials are passed through to Search Provider for the logged in Resource;
  • If NO
    • Authentication credentials are passed through based on the Firm User Account stored in the SPR Parameters

At the time the Search is entered the Search details are added to the Searches tab, a cost entry is created and if a document is provided immediately with the response, it is saved as a Folio.
