Finding Old Matter Numbers

Step-by-step guide

To search for the old matter number:

1. Go to Main Menu > Enquiries > Matter Search.
2. Select Matter Reference in the Search By box and click Search.
3. Enter 1 in the Type and then the old matter number in the Reference No field.
4. Select where you just want to look for Open, Closed or All open and closed matters.
5. Click OK. This will return any relevant matches.

To search for the old matter number when on a matter

1. Go to the Matter Menu.
2. From the Matter Menu, Click Matter > References.

The Matter Reference Type field takes its value from the MR- Matter Reference parameter.
