When merging a document template and an error is displayed "Failed to merge - We can't save this file because it's read only .....". The document will not be able to saved to Matter > Folios.
Step-by-step guide
You will need to download a version of the document template to a local location (desktop), amend the document properties and upload load back into the document template.
- Open document from the local location.
- Click on File > Save As > Tools (near the save button) > General Options > Untick the Read-only recommended box > OK, then save as usual. As shown in the screenshot below.
- Upload document back into Document Templates and Register template as usual.
