Add a Matter with Non-chargeable Fees and Chargeable Disbursements

This article explains how to set up a matter so that the fees are not billable, but disbursements are i.e a zero fee, billable disbursements matter.

This cannot be managed by using a standard fee type, but can be managed by way of a scale.

To set up a Zero Charge Rate Scale:

Set up a scale, e.g. Z for Zero Charge Rate

Parameters > Set Parameters >  (Parameter SC)

Set up charge rates for the Z scale as per the screen shot below:

Parameters > Set Parameters > (Parameter U_cr)

Apply the scale to the matters

On the relevant matters, select Time based fees but use the scale Z.
